Web Developer (Front End Developer)
Overview of Role
Internet Vision Technologies (IVT) based in the outer East of Melbourne, Australia is a software development company that has specialised in development of web applications since its inception in 2000.
IVT services clients across the SME, Franchise, Corporate, Government, Education and Not-For-Profit sectors, primarily across the Eastern states of Australia.
As a Web Application Integrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Take approved interface designs and convert them to HTML/CSS
- Deploy sites onto pre-existing modular technology
- Work with clients to ensure expectations are met
- Update existing websites based on customer specifications
- Improvement of efficiency in deployment process through regular updates of deployment checklists, code snippets, CSS snippets
- Ensure all deployments and modifications are in line with web standards, and are cross browser compatible to ensure the highest possible quality
As a Web Application Integrator, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of XHTML and CSS
- Basic understanding of Javascript
- Commercial experience in creation of web sites/applications. Ability to take a brief from concept through to finished site
- Understanding of the value of web standards, and site usability
- Effective time management, ensuring deadlines are met
- Ability to work in team with a commitment to achieving the best results
- Adaptable and willing to learn
- Strong skills across Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop and Flash with HTML coding knowledge such as Dreamweaver
- An understanding of working with budgets and tight deadlines, and the need to adjust outputs to meet client requirements
We’re looking for someone who puts forward new ideas during the downtime, but can step-up when the pressure’s on to maintain solid perfectionism in the face of demanding deadlines. And doesn't mind a bit of table tennis at lunchtime. Sound like fun?
