Measuring our Carbon Footprint
Carbon Down - a joint venture between VECCI and Sustainability Victoria - commissioned IVT to develop Victoria's Business Carbon Footprint Survey. Data collected includes energy used by plant, equipment and offices across mulitple sites, as well the impact of travel, waste and recycling.
The survey will be used firstly to measure the carbon footprint of small and medium businesses in Victoria, then work out steps to reduce it.
IVT built the interface using Adobe Flex, with collected data stored in a MySQL database.
PHP programming controls the complex algorithms and variables summarising results through reports and dynamic on screen graphics.
