The Attorney General’s Department have established a new entity – AusCheck, to streamline the personnel clearance process for all Critical Infrastructure areas.  ASIC and its maritime equivalent – MSIC, are the first to be provided with an automated process.  The AusCheck service enables organisations to submit individuals’ details securely and will process these through the various relevant  bodies. The check is normally connected to an access control system.

Internet Vision Technologies has partnered Siemens to implement an online ASIC/MSIC application and process handling system for Brisbane . The system combines new Adobe Flex interface technology with a customised  business management  system to enable application, payment, approval and printing of access control cards.
