A few weeks ago Neil and Lloyd from IVT travelled up to sunny Brisbane for the annual Associations Forum Conference where there was a lot of interest in Association Online®, our Australian made association management system. And although the conference was naturally Association-centric, some visitors were also interested in Nonprofit Online®: our purpose built product to manage organisations focused on a cause.
To spice things up a bit we ran a draw for a Champagne and Chocolates hamper, which was won by Lisa King from the Australasian Association of Clinical Biochemists.
Ron Hunt, CEO of Occupational Therapy Australia, led a presentation on the challenge of moving to a federated structure. Our case study (see below) outlines the role Association Online played in supporting this transition.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, our Development Team has been busy cooking up new features for you, and our Deployment Team has been working on new client projects including several that have been launched in the last few weeks.

Recent Feature Updates
|
We’ve introduced a number of changes to our Association Online product over the last few months. This forms part of our ongoing product improvement plan that includes both upgrades to existing features that clients receive automatically as part of our service, and also whole new modules and feature sets that can be added as options to new or existing systems.
Interest Tags
Members can nominate their own interest tags. This allows you to configure news and events so that they are targeted at members based on the interest tags they have nominated.
News
Visitors can now add comments to news items, and forward news items to friends.

Project Mapping
A new optional add-on is “Project Mapping”. This allows you to link web pages to addresses, and have them plotted on an interactive map with summary information.

See the Water Industry alliance website to see this add-on in action.

Please contact IVT if you have any questions about any of these new features or options.

New Client Projects Go Live

Recently launched projects include a couple more Associations and a major retail products distributor.
The Marina Industries Association of Australia is dedicated exclusively to the needs of the marina industry as the peak industry body in Australia, Asia and the Pacific for marina owners and operators of berthing, mooring, storage and slipway/workshop facilities connected to sailing, cruising and general boating. The MIAA is now live on Association Online, allowing them to manage their memberships and member services online:

The Australasian Sleep Association is the peak scientific body in Australia & New Zealand representing clinicians, scientists and researchers in the broad area of Sleep. They now use Association Online to manage their memberships, which gives them more time to work on member services such as organising their upcoming conference "Sleep and the City" which will take place in Sydney in late October! If you're into camping, caravanning, or RV you've probably heard of Dometic, which is a dominant player in the industry and now incorporates the WAECO brand. Over the last 12 months IVT has participated in a major project to launch the Dometic Premium Dealer Network, which involves major retail outlets such as members of the Jayco group. Our Enterprise E-Commerce product deployed for Dometic is deeply integrated into their extensive Microsoft Dynamics NAV Enterprise Resource Planning system that manages their warehousing, stock control, and fulfilment processes:

Occupational Therapy Australia
|
Our deployment of Association Online for Occupational Therapy Victoria was so successful that it was expanded for use throughout Australia shortly afterwards.
Occupational Therapy Australia staff have now seen significant improvements in their workflow and work processes as a result. Previously, staff would spend most of January through to April processing member renewals. Now each renewal is completed the day after it’s been done online. In the past members moving state could not have their identities and history taken with them: now their entire history tracks with them. The consolidation has also provided them an opportunity to review their work practices, and as a result they’ve been able to simplify their membership categories.

Occupational Therapy Australia
Your say:
“The major benefit we’ve found is the confidence that we can now concentrate on providing services to our members, rather than on the manual administrative functions and processes related to membership.
We’ve found IVT to be a very open organisation. We see them as a partner, rather than a supplier. They’re willing to listen, put up with the idiosyncrasies that we all have, and work through things together.”
