Surveys
The Surveys module creates online surveys, which include a variety of different question types. As the responses can be given a numeric value, the module can also be used for assessments.
You need to decide whether to use the module for surveys or assessments - if you need it for both, you can either:
- Install one instance of the module, but use it for both purposes. The terminology will either be 'survey' or 'assessment' (your choice) throughout the module.
This means that an assessment might be called a survey or vice-versa which might require some explanation to the recipients.

- Purchase two instances of the module; one configured as assessments, and the other as surveys.
The other decision you need to make is whether to make the responses anonymous or not. Once again, you cannot alternate between the two. So you might choose to have:
- Online Surveys installed with anonymous responses
- Online Assessments installed with administrators being able to identify the recipients' responses.
The Surveys module allows you to:
- Create a survey / assessment
- Configure the survey / assessment settings
- Add images to represent this survey / assessment
- Configure invitation and reminder emails
- Add and edit the survey / assessment instruction text
- Create survey / assessment sections
- Add questions to the survey / assessment sections
- Add response options to the questions; assign scores
- Add recipients to the survey / assessment
- Monitor responses
